Hi, I’m Yoyo the founder of Yoyo Laos Sauce and I'm on a mission to raise awareness of Laos & Lao food.
Lao cuisine, with its rich diversity of freshness and flavour, is still waiting to be fully explored. Sauces, or 'Jeow,' are a staple part of our meals, and I'd love for my sauces to become an essential component of your culinary creations too.
My ginger chilli sauce range is very versatile and can be used as a dipping sauce, as a marinade, added to a stir-fry or salad to really liven things up.
My sauces have won multiple Great Taste™ Awards with my original ginger chilli sauce scooping the overall winner of the UK National Chilli Awards.
I produce my sauces in both the UK and Laos, collaborating with a social enterprise that is certified Fair Trade.
This partnership not only supports my home country, one of the poorest in Asia, but also creates jobs and fosters growth in the local community, which I'm very proud of.
The sale of every bottle of Yoyo Laos Sauce also helps to make countries like Laos safer through a donation to the Mines Advisory Group.
I hope you will enjoy experiencing the taste of Laos. As we say, sap lai lai der (very tasty!)
My sauces are all made in small batches, using the highest quality ingredients which are all-natural with no artificial preservatives. All sauces are gluten-free and vegan so everyone can experience the taste of Laos.
My ginger-chilli range includes, mild and extra hot versions in addition to the original which is medium-medium hot. For those who like their sauces a little hotter, then my chilli based sauces, Lan Xang & Luang Prabang Special raise the heat level!
Finally, don't miss out on Yoyo Bolaven Salted Green Pepper. Perfect for adding to noodle dishes or salads. These peppers were awarded 3 Stars at the 2024 Great Taste Awards for good reason, they're sensational!

I get asked this question all the time! Laos is a land locked country, in the heart of South East Asia. It is not part of Thailand or Vietnam but is a neighbour to both as well as Cambodia, China and Myanmar.
Laos is the size of the UK with only 7 million people, mountainous in the north but with fertile plains in the south which are perfect for growing fabulous produce which we use in our sauces and peppers.
Laos is ethnically diverse with around 50 main ethnic groups with 160 subgroups, multiple languages and this diversity has a big influence on the cuisine.
Thai and Vietnamese often steals the spotlight so I encourage you to be curious about Lao food and to experience the taste of Laos!
Laos has the unfortunate title of the most bombed country in history per capita. The legacy of the Vietnam War continues to impact lives and livelihoods in my home country. More than two million tons of cluster bombs were dropped with around 30% of these not detonating. Four decades later these relics of war continue to blight land, cause life changing injuries and loss of life in often rural communities.
There’s so much work still to do in Laos with over 1600km2 of land currently contaminated. Unexploded bombs have killed 20,000 people since the war ended, almost half have been children. Every bottle of Yoyo Laos Sauce purchased helps make countries like Laos safer, Khop Jai (thank you).
In 2024 we partnered with a Social Enterprise and Certified Fair Trade producer of high quality organic pepper products.
Based in Vientiane Laos with plantations in the Bolaven Plateau, a fertile plain in Southern Laos, these peppers were all awarded Great Taste awards in 2024 with Yoyo Salted Green Pepper achieving the highest 3-Star status.
